Liila Sival makes songs in technicolor. Like painting on an invisible canvas, sometimes the music takes shape as tender brushstrokes, sometimes as raw splashes of emotion. She’s fascinated by uncovering messages from the subconscious and finding beauty in unexpected places.

A Finnish singer, producer, and songwriter, Sival moves between electronic music and jazz, drawing inspiration from neo soul and the colors of musical impressionism. She’s interested in music that speaks to both the body and the imagination. She has a way of making listeners really hear every word.

Sival studied jazz vocals at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Her musical journey began with classical piano as a child, when she found herself especially drawn to the colors of impressionist composers. At the age of ten, she wrote her first song and fell in love with the cathartic act of creating — a feeling that continues to guide her work today.

Her upcoming debut album, …But I Won’t Speak Before Bloom, brings together expressive jazz performances with electronic textures inspired by the natural world. It tells a story of learning patience in love, deep within the wilderness of the mind. The album will be published on Flame Jazz Records in November 2026.
